Bass Guitar Lessons at the Groove Shack

The bass guitar, the low bottom end sound you’ve heard your entire life in musical recordings but didn’t realize what instrument was even making it! The bass guitar, like the acoustic and electric guitars, have been around for ages, but mostly in what we call concert bass or upright bass form (think jazz bass). Not until recently has the electric bass been a staple in American Music. These days the bass is not only welcomed, it’s a necessary part of any modern rock, funk, reggae, pop, r&b, or blues band. The bass guitar has one less string than it’s cousin, and is a little easier to play right away as bass players focus primarily on playing one note at a time, versus chords and/or difficult strumming patterns. If you’re thinking about taking bass lessons with us it’s a solid choice. Bass players are always in short supply, you’ll always be needed (if not sought out for), and who doesn't like being the center of attention after all!

Bass Lessons at the Groove Shack are available for Ages 5+ We Currently do not have a group lesson program for this instrument choice at this time…
